Daily travel for work and time away from her family made Iuka, MS native, Jacquie Woodruff Harris, desire flexibility in her work and family life. After many prayers and deciding to step out in faith, she and her husband, Tim who is a RN at Iuka Hospital, created Welcome Home Candle Co. in January 2021.
Initially, the focus of the company was manufacturing soy candles for wholesale clients and vendor events. But they saw a need for a store that would sell their products as well as offer home decor and gift options at an affordable price. So, later that same year, WH Candle Co opened its storefront located at 104 W Eastport St in Downtown Iuka.
All of their soy candles, wax melts, room sprays, and car diffusers are manufactured in their store. And with the recent addition of the candle class experience, attendees both far and near get to enjoy the art of candle making.
In 2022, Welcome Home Candle Co was voted “Best Place for Gifts” by the Tishomingo County Reader’s Choice Awards.
